Cinnamon Explosion pt. 2

SNOOWWW DAAAYYY

Maryland has had tons of snow days this winter. WBC has only had 1. (Dont get me started)

However on that glorious Thursday morning I woke with the urge to cook.

My other awesome sister in law got me a cook book for Christmas. It's "The Pioneer Woman" Cookbook. (AH-MAZING)

In it, there was a french muffin recipe I was DYING to try. Well what better opportunity was there than a snow day. These aren't ordinary muffins. These are muffins rolled in butter and then rolled in cinnamon and sugar.

CALORIE COMA!

But they are SOO worth it.

Brian and I had some of our friends over and I made them breakfast and then I got started on these muffins. They were wicked easy.

They came out of the oven BEAUTIFULY.

If you'd like to try this recipe, you can find it here http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/12/french_breakfast_puffs/
I highly recommend it. However, they go fast and in number. I think one of our (guy) friends had 4.

Thats all for now

Cinnamon Explosion pt. 1

I hope you like my name. I feel pretty proud of myself... No Cinnamon didn't explode in my kitchen... well it has, just in a good way.

I love to bake.

My husband love that I bake.

My friends love that I bake.....

I made. Cinnamon Raisin Bread

A couple weeks ago I wanted to make bread. My awesome Sister in law gave me a bread pan for Christmas. And I wanted to use it. So I did and I made cinnamon raisin bread. I made 3 loafs of it (I gave some of it away so Brian and I wouldn't eat it all.

Before I show you pictures and feel prideful about myself. I'm going to embarrass myself.

I use allrecipes.com I LOVE that website. There is a automatic calculation; you type in the number of servings you want, and it tells you how much you need of what. Well I only wanted 1 Loaf of bread. Seemed reasonable to me.

I started to make the bread and I thought "1 Tablespoon of flour?" How can 1 Tablespoon of flour make 1 loaf of bread. But I've been wrong before so I kept trucking.

Finally when I had all the ingredients in I realized there was NO way that this was going to make a whole loaf of bread. So I asked Brian what he thought. He changed the calculation to 3 loafs of bread because thats what the recipe was originally. Again. Calculations were SOOO small. Then I hear this "oooohhhhhh". Like in Despicable Me when Gru says "Light Bulb"

Brian, My Genius husband informed me that I was trying to make 1 SLICE of bread. That instead I should have been calculating 12, for 1 loaf.

Yep. He's pretty smart.

so then after feeling like an idiot, I made bread. And it was glorious. We ate half a loaf in one night. yeah, it was that good.

If you'd like to try this recipe it's

I suggest it. It's amazing.

Oh Christmas Tree

Brian and I are part of a leadership team at our church. We help lead the youth group on a weekly basis. Last night however, was a break.

Now don't get me wrong, I love the youth and I love serving. But having last night off was a blessing. He and I were able to relax and do some homework also I was able to decorate.
:)Me and my crafty self love decorating. If I could have found a way to save my miniature pumpkins from fall I would have. But I just couldn't think of anything.

So Saturday and Sunday night we decorated. He didn't want to at first but he finally gave it. We put up our little tree that my parents bought us. And I made a good amount of
home made ornaments. They are almost like Cinnamon cookies.

Well anyways, I thought I'd share what my wife self is doing to get ready for the Holidays. My goal is to be all decorated by the time cookie palooza comes around this weekend.

FINISHED:CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT RECIPE:
1 cup applesauce
1 ½ cups cinnamon (6 oz)
1/3 cup nontoxic glue
mix all ingredients together form a ball and refrigerate for at least 30 min.
sprinkle a little cinnamon on a large cutting board and roll out dough to ¼ in. thickness.
Place on a rack or flat surface to dry. Turn a couple of times a day. Takes about 2 days
to dry.

So excited for christmas. And each and every day I add something new. You should try the ornaments they are awesome! Only be wear I inhaled so much Cinnamon it made me sick :S.

thats all for now
